Device: Windows
Before You Begin
A Windows PC or laptop can be used to watch IPTV without a separate streaming box or Smart TV.
Before starting, make sure:
- Your Windows computer is connected to the internet.
- You have an active IPTV subscription.
- You have received the service information for your subscription.
- You are able to install applications on your computer.
The exact screens and menu options will depend on the IPTV player you use.
Step 1: Check Your Windows Computer
Turn on your PC or laptop and make sure Windows is connected to the internet.
You can confirm your connection by opening a web browser and visiting a website.
It is also a good idea to install any important Windows updates before setting up your IPTV player.
Step 2: Find a Compatible IPTV Player
Use the IPTV player recommended by your IPTV provider.
Depending on the player, you may be able to install it from:
- Microsoft Store
- The IPTV player's official website
- Another trusted source recommended by your IPTV provider
Avoid downloading IPTV applications from random software or download websites.
Step 3: Download the Windows Version
If you are downloading the player from its official website, make sure you select the Windows version.
Save the installer to your computer.
Most downloaded files can be found in your Downloads folder unless you selected another location.
Step 4: Install the IPTV Player
Open the downloaded installation file.
Windows may ask whether you want to allow the application to make changes to your device.
Confirm that you downloaded the application from the correct trusted source before continuing.
Follow the installation instructions displayed on the screen.
When installation is complete, open the IPTV player.
Step 5: Add Your IPTV Subscription
Inside the IPTV player, look for an option to add a new user, account, playlist or service.
Depending on the application, you may see options such as:
- Add User
- Login
- Xtream Codes
- API Login
- Add Playlist
- Portal
- Add Profile
Choose the connection method that matches the service information supplied by your IPTV provider.
Step 6: Enter Your Service Information
Carefully enter the IPTV information provided with your subscription.
Depending on your IPTV player and connection method, you may be asked for a username, Portal URL or other service details.
Enter everything exactly as provided.
Your IPTV service information is separate from the email address and password you use for your KingTV.ca customer account.
Do not modify your Portal URL or other service information unless instructed by your IPTV provider.
Step 7: Connect to Your IPTV Service
Review the information you entered for typing mistakes.
Select the appropriate option, which may be labelled:
- Connect
- Add User
- Save
- Add Playlist
Your IPTV player should begin connecting to the service.
Step 8: Allow the Content to Load
The first connection may take some time while the player loads information associated with your subscription.
Keep the IPTV application open until the initial loading process finishes.
The amount of time required can vary depending on your internet connection, computer and IPTV player.
Step 9: Start Watching IPTV on Windows
After loading is complete, browse the available sections inside your IPTV player.
Depending on your subscription and application, you may see:
- Live TV
- Sports
- Movies
- Series
- TV Guide / EPG
- Favourites
- Catch-Up, where available
Select the content you want to watch.
Most Windows IPTV players also provide a full-screen viewing option.
Watching on a TV From Your Windows Computer
If your computer has a compatible HDMI output, you may be able to connect it directly to a television.
Connect the computer to the television using an appropriate HDMI cable or adapter.
Then use Windows Display Settings to choose whether you want to duplicate or extend your computer screen.
Your available options depend on your computer, graphics hardware and television.
Keep Your IPTV Player Updated
Check periodically for updates to your IPTV player.
If you installed the application through Microsoft Store, updates may be available automatically or through the store.
For applications downloaded directly from a developer, follow the application's normal update process.
Protect Your IPTV Information
Keep your IPTV username, Portal URL and other service information private.
Do not publicly post screenshots containing your IPTV service details.
If you need assistance, contact IPTV support through your customer account.
